A quick and cursory Google search has helped me determine that a Leprechaun is approximately 24 inches in height. So, if my high school math is correct, that makes it 2 feet tall. This is relevant, I promise. This means that the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas is literally the length of 49 leprechans (Full Disclosure: I didn’t do the math on that one, I used a calculator). The party kicks off at 3pm on March 16th, at O’Kelley’s, the World’s Largest Inflatable Pop-Up Pub.
Then on March 17th, the First Ever 15th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade will commence in Hot Springs, Arkansas, presided over by none other than JOEY FATONE! Yeah, that guy from ‘NSYNC that’s not Justin Timberlake… or the other ones! And 2018’s “parade starter” is Jon Heder! YES! THAT Jon Heder! Napoleon Dynamite himself!!!
Joey Fatone to get “NSYNC” with Hot Springs on March 17, 2018 as the official Grand Marshal of the Worlds Shortest St Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade has hosted some of the most colorful celebrities in its’ 15 year history. The infamous 98 foot Bridge Street parade route has been marched, sauntered and danced on by the likes of Alfonso Ribeiro, Bo Derek, Kevin Bacon, Mark Martin, Jim Belushi, Tim Matheson, John Corbett, John Ratzenberger, Mike Rowe, Mario Lopez, Pauley Shore, George Wendt, Bob Wheeler and Dick Kelley. Now we will add the charismatic singer/actor Joey Fatone to the illustrious list of Grand Marshal’s.
The parade will also feature “The World’s Largest Leprechaun”, and you can compete in the Romancing the Stone contest, which will offer a cash prize for whoever “can lay the best smooch on the Arkansas Blarney Stone.”
