Looking to make your next Walt Disney World trip a little extra magical? Consider booking one of their tours. Disney tours can vary pretty wildly, from those targeted to kids to those that are adults-only; some are day-long affairs, while others can be a quick add-on to a fun day at a park. The price can differ from tour to tour as well. While some aren’t cheap, they’re totally worth it, especially for those who have already been to the park and are looking to see Disney World in a whole new way. Peek behind the scenes, get the VIP treatment, or fully immerse yourself in a favorite world on these incredible tours!

Magic Kingdom

The Backstage Magic Tour is perfect for those old enough to appreciate the complicated logistics of running the Happiest Place on Earth. You’ll get to see the tunnels used by characters to move between parks, get the inside scoop on the detail craftsmen put into building the park, and even take a peek at how characters keep things sparkly clean and fresh at one of the world’s largest laundry facilities! This is a seven-hour long journey through all of Disney, from Epcot to the Wilderness Lodge, but lunch and a special surprise are included.

There’s also a five-hour Keys to the Kingdom Tour which offers a look at the “utilidor” tunnels but focuses in-depth on lesser-known facts and tidbits just about the Magic Kingdom. Or, for a tour that Walt Disney himself would love, try the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour, which takes you on a three-hour journey on an antique, restored steam train and shows you how these vintage vehicles are cared for behind-the-scenes. Or, learn all about Walt Disney himself and what inspired him to dream up this incredible world on the Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour.

Animal Kingdom

If you’re traveling with an animal-lover, then the Backstage Tales Tour is the way to go. There are 1,500 animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the behind-the-scenes tour of their incredible operation is pretty wild. See where the animals are kept when they’re off duty, learn how they’re fed at the Animal Nutrition Center, and see inside their massive veterinary hospital. You’ll also stop by the Animal Programs Administration building, which doesn’t sound that cool at first, but it offers a glimpse into the work Disney does to promote global wildlife conservation, which is actually pretty awesome. This tour clocks in at just under 4 hours.

The Animal Kingdom also offers the Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour, which is an evening group tour of the park with plenty of special bonuses. Think, Fast Pass access on the park’s best rides (including rides in the new Avatar park), snacks and cocktails, and the chance to get inside info on the Animal Kingdom, while enjoying the sights as the sun sets! There’s also the Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience, which gets you access to private viewing areas, a guide to narrate your adventure, and African-inspired tapas, beer, and wine. Or just go for the basic Night Safari, which gets you access to the tour after dark, complete with night-vision goggles, perfect for spotting zebras, giraffes, antelope, and more. You can even book a Wild Africa Trek for a privately-guided safari excursion during the day as well.

Behind the Seeds is a lesser-known tour offering an in-depth experience along the lines of the Living with the Land attraction. See the fish farm at feeding time, release ladybugs into the greenhouse, learn about hydroponics, and gaze upon weird and unique crops and fruits from across the globe! If you’re just generally an Epcot geek, go for the UnDISCOVERed Future World Tour, which dives into the history and behind-the-scenes of Epcot. Enjoy the VIP lounges of some of the rides and special access to some of the attractions on the tour. There’s also a guided tour of Epcot’s ever-popular World Showcase. The World Showcase: DestiNations Discovered is 5 hours long, and provides a stunning amount of insight into the detail that went into creating attractions dedicated to 11 themed pavilions.

Hollywood Studios

Star Wars nuts will want to take advantage of the Star Wars Guided Tour, which includes an itinerary that basically gets you to every Star Wars-themed thing in the whole park in one epic day. That includes rides, live shows, films, Jedi Training Academy (if you’ve got a kid with you) character meet-and-greets, a visit to the Launch Bay which is filled with props and costumes, and even a Star Wars-themed meal at the Backlot Express.

If you’re an adrenaline junkie, there’s a tour purely dedicated to hitting all of Disney’s best rides at the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in one epic day. It’s called The Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour and it gets you on everything from Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion to the Tower of Terror and the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and everything in between. That’s 10 rides in an action-packed 7 hours!

You can craft your own guided tour as well. You’ll get a knowledgeable park employee to point out cool things you would have never noticed otherwise, Fast Pass privileges, and other insider perks and treats.
